This is a classic ES-330 from the first year of production. The 330 was the fully hollow-body version of the ES-335, and the absence of the internal central block of wood makes it a comletely different guitar. Used extensively by Grant Green, and, in its Epiphone Casino form, John Lennon, the 330 combines the bite of its P-90 pickups with either archtop warmth or some pretty intense feedback possibilities (like on the intro to "I Feel Fine" by the Beatles).
This 330 has an added Bigsby, which takes the possibilities of the guitar even further. It's a great instrument to record both with a microphone on the guitar itself and another on the amp. As it's a '59, it has that "just right" neck, and a beautiful Gibson sunburst finish completes the package. Light as a feather, and built with Golden Age craftsmanship, it's one that's not for sale!
